During our one-night stay at the Old School House, my family and I were pleasantly surprised by the warm, welcoming atmosphere that enveloped us as soon as we arrived. Our hosts, Steve and Sue, kindly greeted us with freshly baked bread and farm eggs, which we enjoyed as a family during breakfast. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare delightful meals together, fostering quality bonding time. In the evenings, we gathered around the dining table to play board games and enjoyed leisurely reading, surrounded by the beautiful furnishings that reflected an inviting sense of nostalgia. The property's natural setting cultivated a peaceful environment where we delighted in observing native birds flitting about the garden. The valley view from the house was a serene backdrop to our stay. For families exploring this region, the Old School House serves as an excellent base, ideally located near attractions like Waitomo Caves and Hobbiton, while providing a cozy and engaging experience.
